BUSINESS AND HUMANITARIAN INNOVATION FOR RETURN ON INVESTMENT AND POSITIVE IMPACT
What positive impact and Return On Investment entrepreneurs and humanitarian-preneurs (Individual, NPOs, NGOs, CSR and more) can have in the humanitarian field and how how can they operate responsibly? This course give some key information about how to link business and humanitarian for entrepreneurs, NPOs, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Criteria critically and explores the reasons why it is crucial to join both sectors with some rooted approaches that promote humanity business practices.

This training course provides participants with a deep understanding of the business linked to the Humanitarian field. It gives to humanitarian actors and social entrepreneurs the most important knowhow to accelerate existing businesses or start a new business in the field. The course will focus on five particular categories: Sustainable Development Goals, humanitarian Innovation, United Nations Global compact principles, impact investment and Corporate social responsibility.
The course consists of preparatory presentation/readings and a 1.5-day on-site training (Friday and Saturday). The course schedule is 9h30-13h00 and 14h00-16h30 on Friday and (may be subject to change). coffee and lunch breaks offer the perfect opportunity to get to know better your fellow participants and to expand your professional and academic network. The detailed program will be sent to participants in due time.
Fee information:The training fee for this two-day program is 450 Swiss Francs (30 percent discount for PhD and master students). It includes tuition costs, course materials, lunch and refreshments during coffee breaks. It is payable as soon as your place has been confirmed. As places on the training course are limited, participation can only be secured through the payment of the fee. All participants are responsible for their own travel costs to Geneva, including Swiss visa fees and evening meals. A VIP dinner is offered on 10th evening at the cost of CHF 199.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide scholarships for this course. Participants (or their employer) must be able to cover the tuition fee.
Training Entrepreneurship SDGs and UNGC Humanitarian Innovation Impact Investment Methodology The course is interactive and participants are encouraged to share their own experiences and visions on the subject. The training sessions include lectures and expert panels, as well as practical examples and case studies. Sessions are designed to enhance knowledge exchange with peers and facilitators. Audience This training course is designed for staff of NGOs, business companies and research centres, national environmental and HR institutions, UN bodies and other international organizations, as well as representatives of governments and members of academia. Certification Participants who successfully complete the training course receive a certificate of participation from the A Swiss University and Innovate4Right.
Lecturers Lecturers include Professor from Swiss Universities, Academy experts as well as senior professionals in the humanitarian and business fields from international organizations and NGOs.
